What’ a seed bomb?
It’s a mix of clay, soil, compost, and seeds! Throw them in a place that needs some beauty and ta da! You’ve just created a habitat for pollinators and wildlife.
These seed bombs contain the following species of native Ohio wildflowers:
Asclepias syriaca- Common Milkweed
Asclepias tuberosa- Butterfly Milkweed
Asclepias incarnata-Swamp Milkweed
Asclepias speciosa- Showy Milkweed
These perennials require at least 6 hours of sunlight a day and will grow 3 -5 feet tall. The flowers will be pink, orange, and lavender and attract a variety of butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. These milkweed species serve as a host plant for the monarch butterfly.
