Wild Bergamot (Bee Balm), Monarda fistulosa

•Seed Depth: place on soil surface

•Seed Spacing: a small group of 2-3 seeds every 18-24 inches

•When to Sow Outside: 2-4 weeks before last frost in the spring or in the fall when soil temperatures are in the 50s

•When to Start Inside: 6-8 weeks before last frost date in spring

•Host plant for: orange mint & hermit sphinx moths and several species of specialist bees, attracts a variety of polinators

•Light requirements: full sun to partial shade

•Soil Requirements: dry to medium dry average soil, drought tolerant once established

•Size: 3-4 feet tall, 1-2 feet wide, does spread

•Flower color: light purple

•Bloom time: summer to fall
